thinking about getting this 3d tv http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-LE40...0574086&sr=8-2
it will be my first hd and it gets decent reviews as a normal tv as well as a 3d t.v i want a 3d blu-ray home cinema to go with it but the samsungs all seem to be tallboy speakers which i dont want so i saw this ,seems a good price for 3d blu ray home cinema http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-BDVE370...0574430&sr=1-2 so would there be any compatibility issues seen as its new technology ,or if i just bought the samsung dvd player http://www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-BD-C6900-Channel-Blu-ray-Player/dp/B003KZK7RS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1280574720&sr =1-1 what would be the cheapest way to turn that into 5.1 home cinema thanx for looking |

As you are thinking of spending serious money here, you will probably be better off looking at the Samsung TV and the Samsung Blu-ray Player to match.
Then source a decent AV Receiver and a 5.1 Speaker package. These extra items will not be cheap, but they will be far superior to an all-in-one package, like the Sony and will give you the options of adding other components to your system, via additional HDMI Inputs. I would say tou need to budget a minimum of £600-££700 for an entry level AV Receiver and 5.1 Speakers. As I think you are in the US, I can't recommend websites etc., but wait for Van to pop by and I'm sure he will have some recommendtions.

OK, have a look at Superefi and Peter Tyson and see what you like the look of.
Then post back and I'm sure Van or I can help you further Onkyo make good AV Receivers and you get a lot for your money. Sometimes you will find special deals for an AV Receiver and 5.1 Speakers, if bought together.
