I want to store DVD ISO's on my HDD. Is there any program that will do this. What is the best.

Thanx NotaHacker. I guess the next question [and one I should have asked the first time] is what is the best program to burn it at a later date??

If you are storing existing backups ... DVD Decrypter all the way for ripping & burning ;)

If you are rippiing & shrinking an original DVD though, DVD Shrink will do the ripping & shrinking and output to an ISO file, which can be burnt back straight away or later with DVD Decrypter.
Hope that makes sense.

I use Alcohol 120% to burn everything other than Video_Ts which I use Prassi primo. Both very good.

Yup, DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink are two great legal freeware programs I have tried several pieces of software (pay and freeware) and found these two to be the best overall for all your movie needs.

Decrypter and Shrink are the best tools to me also. Shrink has the edge just cuz you have more options of what you wanna keep and not

DVD decrypter is good, but no good for 1st ripping, how are you going to get 7-8 GB back on to a dvdr disk ?.

Use DVDshrink first , shrink it down to 4480GB max this will then fit back on a disc, don't bother iso'ing it leave it in a folder and play it back thru Powerdvd.

I have not been making back ups long but in my opinion DVD shrink is the way to go. Teh newest version of it is simple to use and auto sizes the movies and other data on the dvd to fit on a dvd-r. You still have the option of selecting certain sizes for the different files too. but if your just looking to make and ISO dvd decrypter works great for that.
