I have a new ipod thats only 3 weeks old and after spending an eternity filling it suddenly froze earlier and now cant do anything with it.
The screen is on, but no matter what i do cant reset it or turn it off!
Do i just wait for the battery to die and then try re charging it. I have contacted the seller on ebay and hopefully he may offer me a brand new one!
Any help will be appreciated

i know you said it wouldnt reset, but you did try this while the ipod is plugged into the power source? thats what i needed to do when my cpu rebooted when it said do not disconnect.

tried it connected and unconnected and now looks to have died a very quick death. No power, wont charge and wont turn on!!
its nuked i think
if you got it factory sealed off ebay then it could be possible to still have a valid warranty. you should check it out. does the ipod still make sounds internally? mine did when it crashed through skipping tracks too fast. but resetting it sorted that out as well. didnt even lose any songs except a couple of corrupt ones

You need to give him a reasonable time to respond, like 14 days, before going down that route ..... i.e. he could be on holiday.
If you paid via Paypal, you can also claim through them, but again you need to give him time to respond.

sometimes when I don't use my ipod for a few days I have to soft reset it by pressing the play button and menu button at the same time. Might give that a shot.
