Helllo,

About a year ago I purchased a new Hard drive and decided to partition it using Partition Magic 8.0, had no problems with the partitions until I decided to resize them. I went to resize them and upon booting the computer I get a blue screen saying "Program xmnt2002 not found, skipping autocheck". Then it continues to boot windows. Any changes I made to the partions did not work, so this means any future changes I wish to do to my partitns now will not work because of this error. I searched and searched google all night for a soloution and the nearest I got was a patch but the link to the patch does not work. If anyone could find this patch it would be a huge relief for me.

Thanks in advance

Remove PM (you may need the original CD or run SETUP from the installer), do a SCANDISK (or disk check). I suspect a damaged FAT or corrupted NTFS volumn.
Also make sure the version of PM will support the size of your HDD

Here comes problem 2,

I have uninstalled Partition Magic, rebooted windows and got the same message. I went to run Scandisk and now Scandisk has dissapeared, it's not in system tools.

This is a common problem with PM8 (at least, ive gotten it more then once.)

Open regedit and find this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Session Manager\BootExecute

Edit it so it only says: autocheck autochk *
Just delete all that other crap from it. Reboot and the message should be gone. Uninstall/Reinstall PM and it should work fine.

Kyle5077 your a star, It seems to have worked, not sure if PM will let me resize my partitions now as I still need to re-install it, but I will get back and let you know.

Thanks a lot! I owe ya one.
