Will i get banned for this?

Ive chipped the xbox and i know it says not to connect to Live. However if the xbox is connected to the modem but i dont attempt to go Live will i still get banned? ie do i physically have to disconnect the cable to the modem before switching on the chip etc?

Its the actual process of LOGGING onto live that will get you banned if your running a NON retail bios.

Its fine having modem cable etc plugged in.

yes, but make sure "auto login" is disconnected under the original dash (network settings i think) and also use a live safe bios like xecuter3 (x3 needed) or xecuter 2 4977 upwards (i think)


this will safeguard although not guarantee


good luck, and remember when they ban you its not always instant, meaning that they could allow you to go on live for as long as they want then ban you days / weeks / months down the line.
