I just got into the ¨dvd-realm¨, so I`m pretty much a newbie...

I`d like to know what a good software for burning data on dvds?

Also, does anyone knows where the search function went? I can`t find it.

Thanks.

nero will do the job if you just want to back up data

and the search button is along the bar near the top 3 links away from the members list

I find that Nero occasionally gives me problems with erasing RW discs. God knows why but anyway I have EZCD also installed just to erase them. But in general Nero is the way to go in my opinion.

Seems that Nero 6 Ultra (with DVD Decrypter) will do a lot more than just data. The DVD Video options are quite complete. You can shrink, re-author, use Nero Vison Express to convert/combine (AVI, MPEG, VOB's etc.)... the list goes on and on.

DVDInfoPro (free) is a handy app for all kinds of stuff including erasing any -RW's. Dump that EZCD stuff, causes more problems than it's worth.

If it's only data you want to burn (-R only). Give this a shot (a very handy free app).
