Give us a bit more detail m8

i.e. is it freezing or crashing ... after how long running .... what have you checked ... i..e.temps etc. etc.

Yup, also WHEN does it freeze/crash/switch off (whatever it does)? Is it consistently when you are performing a certain action (eg surfing the web) - or does it appear completely random?

Also, what OS have you installed - have you installed additional sofware / drivers etc? Is it online yet? etc etc

Actually ... we haven't got a clue what's wrong, but asking lots of questions makes us sound brainy :D

No idea :D

Sorry, seriously, if its all new stuff then 3 things spring to mind as immediate possibilities:

1. (and probably most likely) - either a bad ram stick or your board doesn't like your corsair ram
2. psu problem (from bitter and recent experience, I had a lovely Antec PSU that my board just didn't like and would randomly shut off)
3. An iffy mobo

I'd suggest first that you try taking out each stick of ram independently and see if your problem perseveres. Also do some research into whether MSI boards have a known problem with Corsair sticks (google).

I havent heard of corsair having problems with too many boards, there usaully friendly with them. But try as VS said for starters. Are you running a firewall like McAfee?

Virgin San

Yeah, also are all your devices successfully installed (check device manager).

only windows firewall is there a test i can do for the ram

Virgin San

Yeah, download the memtest (http://www.memtest86.com/#download0) ISO, burn it to a disc and boot from it. A better test is still to take one stick out, run the machine until it crashes (if it crashes), then repeat with the other stick. But I guess you won't be told :)

Extremely unlikely IMO

Do as VS says ...... it will at least confirm that the RAM is GOOD/BAD
