How Long To Burn 1x

As title really, how long does it take to burn 4.7GB at 1 speed?

well my 4 speed takes about 12/13 mins so 50mins or so

My old 1X writer used to take just under an hour to burn a full disk.

Yup, generally it should take about 56 minutes plus calibration time, so around 58 minutes tops.

Unless you have say a Pioneer burner and use the hacked firmware. That way you will be able to burn all 1X discs at 2X taking each one down to under 30 mins. :)

Don't you have a 4x writer? (matrix) Just go with 4x media. It is reasonably priced.

Yeah I have a Pioneer 107 so can burn up to 8x, just the DVDs I have been given now are 1x

Actually if you have the 8x4all firmware it is also supposed to burn 1x media at 2x.

Where exactly do you get the firmware from? Is it off the Pioneer site or where abouts?

burnt school of rock today from hard drive ...movie only after using shrink....used 1x speed just as a matter of intrest.....56 mins total..... 2x speed 26mins....4 speed 14 mins....i dont bother with 8x...all on + media
