dvd rec setup

hi guys can any 1 tell me how to setup my dvdrec
what i am trying to do is find the rite way to put the scart leads in to record of the tele i can watch dvds on it ok but tried to tune it in to my ntl digibox but no joy does any 1 know the correct connections any questions just ask thanks
the player is a liteon 5005

usually aerial into liteon - ntl box out scart into liteon in scart - liteon out scart into tv

no aerial m8 just ntl box

you should have a button on your remote to change av input have you tried that
