Hi guys hope somebody can help me

I recently bought and xbox and had it chipped with anx2.3b lite the non solder one. a mate put it in and all seemed well till i got a bnit ambitious firstly i had evox x on then found the tHc. dash which looked cool so i droped that on things seemed fine but some appz seemed to crash out never thought nothing off it as don't use appz much i then decided i wanted the blue bios to mach my dash so used the cromwell boot disc in the xecuter tutorials and flashed the bios all seemed fine but didn't really play on xbox much afterwards. i then needed to ftp stuff across so went to launch evox which just hung when i powered down and then back on the box tray light flashed three times while trying to boot the went to red/green flash i powered on and off a couple of times this then fixed it's self and box booted ok so i left it tehn the other day i went to play on it when i stuck the disc in afterbooting to the dash the box locked up and i had to power down and had the red/green flashing lights come back agin. after a few attempts the box booted up ok. I got my m8 round to see if the chip had moved all seemed fine and it booted ok while he was here till yesterday when i tried many times to get it to boot and it was maybe doing it 1 in 15 ish so i started to think id stuffed the bios so tried to put the cromwell disc in and flash bios to the new xecuter 4891 i think it was. now i can try a humndred times and it justwon boot if i switch bios banks i sometimes can get it to boot to a blue scrren whivch ejects the tray if i put a bhios disc in and try to load a bios nothing happens. do i need a new chip ( cause if i boot without it all is ok). any help appreciated!!!

ok well i'm pretty sure when you do a bios flash from cromwell- you can only do a 1mb bios flash- so basically you set the dipswitches so that you have a 1mb bios config as opposed one of the 512's- make sure flash protection is off.

Then once everything is working you can then flash each bank (I hope you have the dipswitch diagram for the x2.3 lite- i only have the one for the pro which has more possible configs- it has 4 dipswitches as opposed to the lite which think only has 3)

sounds to me as you don't have a valid bios at all so what you are gonna have to do is either use a programmer- or if your mate has one- do a "hot swap" basically boot up his machine load up evox- then swap your minced chip in for his one (bios is booted into memory now) then use evox or another app to flash a valid bios (i think x2 lites can only use 512k bioses so you will have to use xbtool to turn a 256 into a 512) makng sure the dipswitch config is correct.

then take it out and replace it in your xbox and hopefully it should be as good as new

xecuter 2.3b can use either a 2x512mb one on each bank or 1mb bios file which will just make it a 1bank modchip
