but while i was looking up specs on the card it said it needed a laptop with at least 400mhz. my laptop is a p120 24mb of ram i know pretty crappy, right? well wank off it was the only one i could afford. well in case you haven't already guessed my questions is "have anyone of you guys got a antique running on 802.11b? (talking about windows 98 here) please help

I'd pass on the deal as it probably won't work. It's not Win98, but the specifications of the laptop that will be the problem.

802.11B is pretty aged too, especially with WI-MAX and 802.11n coming out.

^ not really the point tho is it...those cards would be even less likely to work on the laptop!

Anyway you might be alright with that card, but unless u can borrow one off someone to check it works, I wouldnt take the risk - Ur laptop is really a bit old now
