Allright... my keyboard's PS/2 plug was always being tugged and wiggled, for about 6 months, cuzz the cable was too shot. til it finally snapped...

Bought a new one.. Logitech Internet Navigator Keyborad...

ALLRIGHT HERES THE PROB...

I'm playing games, and I can only hold 2 letter buttons at a time,, if i hold more than too, only the first 2 i was holding work... so naturally, I gotta .. Run Forward (W), Strafe Left (D), and Lean Right (E)... and do stuff like that... and I can't and I'm playing and I'm really just not as agile...

So if there's is some crazy way to get around this I need to know... or I need to know of a new keyboard I can buy online...

I e-mailed Logitech.. this is what they told me.. (but i was hoping there was some back door way of getting around this. and not buying there $100+ keyboards:

Dear Logitech Customer,

Thank you for contacting Logitech's Electronic Customer Support.

I am sorry for the issue you are experiencing with your Logitech keyboard.

All our keyboards use a membrane technology without diodes. The detection scheme
that is used is often called multikey rollover.

Our keyboards can detect any 2-key combination but not all the 3-key
combinations. We place the keys in the matrix in order to guarantee that the
3-key combinations required by Microsoft are supported. Logitech supports any
combination of 2 modifier keys (LWIN, RWIN, LCTRL, RCTRL, LSHIFT, RSHIFT, LALT,
RALT) plus one other key pressed at the same time (there are a few exceptions to
this rule).

It's true that a gamer that needs to press some keys simultaneously might
encounter a ghost key situation. In this case, the keys are not reported to the
PC until the ghost key situation is cleared. A full n-key rollover keyboard
would avoid this problem. However, these keyboards are increasingly difficult to
find on the market because of their higher cost (they need one mechanical switch
and one diode per key).

I apologize for the inconvenience.

The Fujitsu KBPC P2 keyboard is one of the best and about the most popular with people who use them, do not think there is a way around it as the keyboard needs a switch & diode per key as stated.

I didnt really understand that switch/diode statement they sent me.. except i know there two different things and i have the wrong one..

Anyway, that keyboard you suggested, I searched it, and I think that keybaord is a UK based keyboard, while I'm here in the US... (also at dealtime, it says its not being made anymore--or nobody has it)

Need US keyboard.. i think.. that was the uk dealtime, the US dealtime won't open for me right now

I was just browsing the selection of keyboards @ newegg.com
Can someone tell me what I want to look for and what to avoid in the specs and descriptions...
(sry that comes off CoOp, the post started in hope of finding like a driver or something that would fix my keyboard)

Did not realise you were in the US so cannot really advise you. Chap I know who has one bought it from Germany for about £5. It will be best to search and then email the supplier for keyboard specs. The keyboard must have FULL N KEY ROLLOVER ability, and not just the ones required by OS ctrl+alt+del etc.
You could try auction sites.

They seem to be few and far between in the states, and cost an arm and a leg.

If you are really fond of your old keyboard, and it still works ok except for the end snapped off, you could get a ps2 cable from a junk keyboard and replace the one on your old board. If all else fails, you could maybe even splice the cable (if the connecters won't match in the keyboard, or they are soldered or something. You really don't have anything to lose by trying. And splicing would make the cable longer
