Soft mod with tray open allows access to softmod menu how can i stop this ?

Hi Guys,

Sorry for my lame posts but i am new to this ! :confused:

I am using soft mod installer deluxe 2.
It works fine and i have had no problems with it at all. The only snag is like alot of other exploits if you boot with the dvd tray open it drops you to the soft mod installer menu instead of the hacked exploited dash. I am concerned that peeps will not be able to help them selves and will mess with this menu thus maybe causing irretrievable damage. Is there any way of stopping this from happening ? I'm guessing their must be some sort of .ini file that is giving the instruction to show this manu instead of the evo x dash ?

Please help guys i'm sure this must be an easy one for most of you :t_up:

You could always FTP in and transfer all the ini files to your computer, look at them and then replace the ini that you don't want with one from the one you do want. The reason it does this is because you have a trayboot exploit instance setup. If you want that gone, try looking on Xbox-scene for a guide on setting that up and then work backwards to remove it.

I would return to stock and try a differnt softmod like blackwars, krazies, or ltools 1.8(you can pick to dual boot or not with ltools) it doesnt have the dual boot for blackwars or krazies

you dont need to ftp to your pc, i have same softmod installer 2.0 as you, all you need to do to get evox dashboard to boot with tray closed and open is to get the open.bin to load the same dashboard as the close.bin, you can find these files in the sig folder in your c drive, you need to delete open.bin then copy the close.bin to your e drive, then goto your e drive rename it open.bin then move it back to the sig folder in the c drive then you still have open.bin and close.bin but both load the {same evox dashboard which is safe as no kid can f.ck with your xbox on the evox dashboard} you need to you use the file manager in the open tray menu first do do the above.

and just to confirm it works i just tried it now and it loads evox dash when tray is closed and open, now i will put it back to how i had it as i prefer 2 menus, i only tested it for you so do what i said and your sorted no neeed to use different exploits or ftp to computer or edit any ini conf file:}

Thanks Brendon your right :) that works a treat. I did change and used Krayzies mod but stuck installer 2.0 on too check and thumbs upo to ya :):):)
