Panasonic rule the plasmas apparently. Not got one myself, perfectly happy with a 36" CRT and will wait till the technology matures

Richer Sounds
37" Panasonic - £999 RRP £2499
42" LG £999 RRP £2799
42" Daewoo £799 RRP £2499
Can't get better than that, I al;so work literally next door to a Richer Sounds in the City and have seen them and the picture looks gr8

Would go for the Panasonic or LG seeing as though I have seen them in person, they didn't have the Daewoo

I bought one of the Panasonic plasmas from Richer Sounds a month ago - picture quality is awesome, but for that price you're basically getting a monitor. You'll need to get the input board/tuner/speakers seperate which will push the price up a fair bit

hi mate ive got an LG RZ(cantremember the rest of the model number)
anyway i shopped around and did a bit of research adn from the AV forums most people recomended this plasma as a good budget one, and i have to say i`m well impressed with it.
its got all the inputs (3 scarts / RGb / svideo / component / vga / DVI)
Dual tuner PiP etc etc etc.
the panel itself is made by panasonic unlike the next model down from this which has the crappy samsung panel (MZ).
in the shops these where £1800
richersounds tried selling me the MZ version for £1900 as well, had a look at most of the plasmas in there and to be honest they didnt look to much cop around the £1500 mark.
however i was lucky on the way to richersounds i went past cash converters where they had a brand new one for £1500 reduced from £1700 lol, so offered them £1400 and the rest is history ;)
i`m happy with it, its not top of the range, but for the money i`m well happy...........just need to hang it on the wall now

I thought LG were on the verge of going bankrupt?
Sure I read that somewhere recently

LG's finances are very healthy.
Daewoo have been bouncing along the bottom for some time now though.
REAL DEAL

I have found you only pay for what you get. Ive just upgraded my old plasma to the new panny 42" viera TH42PV500CAB & can only say what a big improvement in picture & sound (use 5.1 amp for dvds mainly)
I would recommend you save the rest up. Well worth the wait if you can manage it.
Good luck Ninja
