have i ballzed up my ps2?

i am a total n00b to ps2 modding xbox is my thing so anyway i had an unsuccesfull attemp at chipping a ps2 scph30003r i soldered all the wires on when i turned it on it didnt boot it was just a black screenso i took off the chip and still no luck it was the same and also on the underneath of the board one of the little gold squares has come off is this my problem and can it be fixed

any ideas any one would be appreciated :bawling:

If the gold square had a track running to it on the pcb from both ends, that's probably your problem. I think I did exactly the same on the first Ps2 i ever tried. Is it a V5? If you can link the tracks again you can probably get the PS2 working. Other than that, check for shorts on the bios legs.
