Just bought an 80gb HDD to install in my machine, not thinking that I already had 4 IDE devices installed- a cd rewriter, a dvd rewriter, a 80gb hdd and a 40gb hdd.
Short of removing one of the devices, what options do I have? All I can think of is putting it in a USB cradle, any other suggestions?
Cheers

Easiest and cheapest is to buy a PCI IDE controller card, simply install card and then you are able to install another 4 IDE devices just like that. £8.99 + VAT here:-

Or if you have SATA connectors on your mobo another solution is convert your IDE device to SATA using one of these for £5

You can do the external case option like you said. You also can do as lazza suggested.
