My original PSX (the grey one 7502) wont boot anymore. Switched it on this morning and the power light comes on but nothing else happens, nothing on the TV screen, the spindle doesn't move etc. It worked fine last week.
Any ideas what to try to fix it, what could have gone wrong?
I can get another off ebay nice and cheap so don't want to spend loads fixing this one.

Unless it's something obvious, like a loose/broken connection, they're hardly worth fixing anymore. Just get another used one.

sound like you blew a fuse you can get one for $24 at EBworld or any place that sells used machines
You could probably replace the fuse if you can use a multimeter and find which one popped and buy another fuse and jumper it to the old fuse but you might just want to get another machine too

A used one is super cheap at BlockBuster if you have one that does the game trades around you here in the US...
