A while back, I needed to install the .net framework.
I spent ages downloading it (56K modem). After downloading & installing, something brought to my attention that I need not have downloaded it, as I already had it somewhere, I just can't find it.
Does anyone know if it comes supplied with any other software?
I am running W2Kpro, is it on the W2K disc?
I also have XP pro (although I don't use it on this PC) is it on this? If so, can it be extracted and put onto a W2K installation?
If anyone has any idea what sort of software may have come supplied with it, I would be very greatful, it would save me a painful download session again!
I have a stack of discs, and just don't know where to start looking!

Sorry it's a bit vague!

Regards,
Andy.

I could be wrong but I don't think it was included with xp and I'm next to certain it wont be on your w2k disc, I believe you need to download it from the windows update site. As I said I am not 100% but given the timing of the releases (I think the .net framework was released about 2 years after xp) I would be surprised if it was available on any microsoft OS cd with the exception of server 2003.

It is on some Windows XP SP1 and all XP SP2 CDs. I believe it's also on the Office 2003 CD's, and with Works Suite. Look for the \DOTNETFX folder.
