Thanks for looking in all.

Just got my chipped slimline pstwo back from a chipper with the matrix infinity 1.39 and laser fix installed.

Played a retail Japanese game, played a USA backup and have tried a R2 dvd and a HK dvd (NTSC). Not tried the psx games yet or a PAL retail game yet (Will do in a sec.) but the chip seems to do what its meant to do.

Only problem is that my pstwo is hooked up correctly to my home cinema and it no longer outputs a dolby digital or DTS source from dvds.

It seems to be outputting a dolby pro logic source as when I turn off the digital output in the pstwo settings menu the sound cuts out, but it doesn't seem to play digital sounds any more.

I've emailed the chipper and hope they can supply a solution but is there anything else I can do myself without opening the machine which I won't be doing.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Does the sound come back on if you disable the chip and try the R2 DVD?

Cheers

Lol I had to press select twice and re-enable the settings in dvd mode but you had to stop the ps2 from playing the movie or form resuming at that point.

Strange, if you press select once, you could enable the dolby digital but not the dts, you had to press select twice and then enter the dvd setup mode ot enable it.

Very strange but at least it works :)
