The master tournament mode is an xbox live feature. It will replace some files in your C: drive so evox or whatever you had as a dashboard probably doesn't work now.

But you should still be able to play backups just fine. Either way you will have to ftp the backup of your C: files to your xbox to reload whatever dashboard you had running.

doesn't need to be connected to scan your xbox c: drive for non M$ files.

basically don't ever try the live components of a game if you are playing from a backup.

i was gonna say make an xiso of folder containing evox (relabel it to default.xbe) and an ini file with your standard network settings and burn it to cd-r/ cd-rw/ dvd+/-r/ dvd+/-rw (depending on your drive) and launch that- you could then ftp into the xbox then.

However if you can't launch backups- seems to me that the bios has been overwritten to a M$ bios- do you get a dirty disc error when you try to launch the backups?

try this fix I found it at X-S and it seems to work to revert your dash back to 4920.

Use an evox gamesave exploit to gain FTP access to your Xbox. Download Slayer's EvolutionX, and extract the iso. Now, backup your C: partition to your computer as well as your eeprom/hdd info (Use "Backup" in evox). Delete your old C: partition and FTP the C: partition from the Slayer's iso to where it was. Double check to make sure all the files are there and are properly setup on root C: BEFORE restarting.
