ok, my PC's been running fine and their have been no recent hardware or software changes.
Its a Celeron 600, 190MB RAM, 160GB HD, Multi Format DVD Burner hooked upto a router through a Cat5 Cable. It's running Windows XP Professional with SP2 and All Security Updates.
It has a wireless mouse and keyboard .
I booted it up and the keyboard and mouse stopped responding. The reciever was still acknowleging a signal but nothing happening.
I reboot the computer and thats where the real problem started. You know where the screen shows that bar go across and goes black, the next stage is to show the XP Logo booting but it keeps resetting their. I've tried Safemode but as it shows the list of files its loading it just reboots. I've tried repairing the installation but that still hasnt worked, when it reset after installing and went to boot the same problem.
The only option i see left is format, but i want to avoid this if possible because i have VERY important files on their and i've seem to lost my backup disc.
Any opinions?
