What burner and what firmware? BTW if you are trying to burn at 2x then why on earth are you using 8x G05? It seems to me you could save a few bucks by going with Ritek G04. IMHO they seem to be producing better burns for videogame console backups anyways.

Ritek G05's are rated 8 speed, but for movies this is a bit too fast IMO ..... they are nowhere near as good as Ritek G04's.
If you burn them at 4 speed, they should be fairly reliable .... currently I am burning them at 6 speed, without errors.

HTHAgreed, never go above this point for movies!
They may play on some players when 8/12/16 X but they won't play on all. After all the time you actually save from burning at 12X over 6X it is hardly worth bothering with in the first place. I burn 8X Fuji media @ 12X for data and not come across any problems using 108 with hacked f/w yet.
