Please if anyone could help me, i cant think of anything wrong... the only thing that would prolly make it like this is the tape i have to hold the chip inside the ps2.......i will appreciate any help........Thanks...

Sounds like you've bridged a pair of points somewhere, most likely D-N (bios) points.

Take the chip out, desolder it all and get the ps2 working again. Then try reinstalling.

Good luck!

Taken the chip out and still nothing? Check very carefully with a magnifying glass that you haven't shorted anything out on the board, and that there aren't any random solder balls sitting anywhere.

Are you in the UK? I can take a look at the PS2 for you if you like.

Cheers
