Ninja Gaiden Problem - but i dont its because of the game

Ok when i run ninja gaiden from the hard drive and the dvd today, the opening movie after the warning movie no longer plays. when i start the game it plays in slow motion.

also noticed on the evox dash, next to where it says HDD it says N/A when it normally says ENV Error!.
The latest version of the evox dash is installed btw.

anyone know the problem?
