Using X8 In An Pioneer 106

Can this be done
i have a dupo with a pio 106 which works at x4
but i have bought a pio 108 for my pc
the question is will x8 disc work in the pio106
doesnt matter if its only x4
its so i dont have to buy x4 and x8

Depends on the media and the firmware on your burner. Usually it takes a firmware update but I would definitely try it out as is before updating the firmware on the burner. My old 4x Pioneer 105 with stock V1.21 firmware sure loves my 8x Taiyo Yuden TYG02 DVD-R discs. Then again Taiyo Yuden are well reknowned for their quality and flexibility. ;)
