mirror dvd-rs any good

bigpockets in the uk have 100 dvd-r for 29.99+5.95 pp.are they any good.i have 2 liteons and a sony dvd writers.colin

The newer ones have the Ritek G04 dye so for those yes. But going by that price I can't see that they are those and must be the older ones and sorry Colin I can't remember what dye they had. Though I do know that I tried to make some iso images from some old Mirror discs the other day and my DVD-ROM reader had a real job on in reading them back and the writing surface was still in perfect condition, I guess they were aprox 6 months old and never played either so if it was me that would certainly put me off buying any of the older discs that are not G04's.

Question is, did they work in the first place?

The discs you're talking about (I'm guessing you've found the cheap white-tops as well) are AN31. The same disc that everyone seems to hate except me. So, given that everyone else thinks they're awful discs, I will bow to the majority and say don't do it ;)
