Backups not working (much)

ok this is my first almost working backup. first time i tried it I burned dbz budokai 2 at 4x on a memorex dvd-r using dvd decrypter. i am using swap magic with a flip top ok first time i did the swap the backup did not seem to spinning much if at all and i got the red boarder that means bad burn. but i decided to try it again and it works perfectly the only thing is the dvd drive seems to be working a litle harder than usual but i accept it. then 3 min later i try to boot it up again it does'nt boot so i try it again this time it boots after a while but it loads slow like it it trying to keep up the sound even lags can anyone help me?

It's because you are using crappy media. I have the same issues with Princos. Sometimes they boot up and work fine, sometimes they take several restarts to get going and sometimes they will just freeze up at certain points in the game. Memorex generally uses the CMC dye which is known to be "iffy" for people. Go with a Ritek or Taiyo Yuden dye disc and you won't regret it. ;)

it should be but the faster you write the more unreliable they are, so why don't you try 1x & see if that works better?

Memorex is okay if your PS2 can read cheap quality media. After all of the trouble I have had with thier various media, I won't touch them anymore.

Get Riteks they are only 78 Cents at mediasuperstore shipped free and you can burn them at 4X and have no probs

Yup. I burn my Riteks at 4x and they boot up everytime. ;)
