 but you can do that after you have made a backup.
Are you hiding again? Or found a new women again and just showing her a good time til the next one comes along? ;)

There is a 2048bit encryption key which can only be read by the XBOX itself. So if you figure out how to get an XBOX to co-exist with a regular PC inside a large tower then you might be able to get it to work. However, I wish you luck with that. ;)

So does the backup not carry the 2048bit encription??

Nope. When you read the original disc over from the XBOX it is essentially decrypted since the XBOX itself must be able to read the encrypted disc. So you are really using the XBOX to bypass the encryption and then transfer the files over to your PC.
Doesn't the Disc also needs to be read in reverse as the xbox dvdrom drive does?

No it is read like a conventional disc. The XBOX DVD-ROM is set up for both. After all it has to play DVD Movies regularly. ;)

I thought that it was hit or miss as to whether the games worked or not if you did a straight copy in nero???
Another question, would there be any problems if you decrypted it into an iso using dvd decrypter??

I remember when the xbox first came out, people would swap the dvd drive for a regular one & had to add on an external power supply for it. But it would read everything.

They didn't need an external power supply. All that was needed was a Y-adapter PC drive power cable. It would then run power from the regular PC power-type plug in from the XBOX HD. @ cauliflower, you CAN'T copy an original disc in Nero no matter what you do. However if you are making a backup of a backup or burning an ISO image that has been ripped to your PC then yes you can use it. You are correct though that DVD Decrypter seems to be more reliable at burning XBOX ISO images. I have tried a number of different programs and it is the only one that consistantly gives me working backups for the XBOX. ;)
