Can anyone help me with this at all please? I have read the instructions but still having no joy.
After i record anything can anyone please tell me how i make chapters instead of one massive long film. Everytime i try it, it just says that unable to create???

You can only do this with a DVD-RAM disc

When you finalise a DVD-R disk, it automatically puts chapters in for you.

Yep, that's true. I thought the original poster was trying to make his own, in which case you need the RAM disc.

Actually, looking at the original post I think he would be happy to have ANY :)
