PS2 HDD! Can we add in our own HD?

Well, now that Sony is real close in releasing the HD, I am wondering if it is possible for us to use our own drives? Like install the hd, and burn a copy of the software etc. Has anyone heard about something as this?

you can use any HDD, but your required to format it to the Sony HDD id's. You can only install the games that support the HDD(which is like 2 in the US) ps2ownz has your info if your still interested.
