JVC Camcorder broken :(

Hiya all.

I got a digital JVC GR-DVP7 DV camcorder and the little pull out lcd screen has stopped working. I'm sure it's due to the ribbon beinf fractured inside.
I was just wondering if theres any of you clever lot that could repair it?

If not, anyone know any specialists that won't charge me the price of the camcorder over again?

hi m8 i might be able to order you the ribbon for the lcd screen from jvc got a account
with them
but are you sure this is damaged as they dont normal go by just opening and closing

allso how much did they ask for repair about 200 pound ?????

Lo, if you could order the ribbon, that'd be great. I have a m8 whos a very good repair blokey but he doesen't know where to order parts from. He has looked and it is definately the ribbon.

By the way, he had the camcorder when i posted the first post and i got the model number wrong....

It is:

Please let me know the cost and i'll chuck a bit on for your trouble m8. The quote for a proper service was £160!.... stuff that!
