Potential laser issues on psTwo with swap tricks?

After seeing products such as:

and the flip tops, in the past the swap tricks have been known to be hell on earth for lasers, even though the pstwo laser is supposedly a good strong laser, will the swap tricks hurt the laser in the long run any more then a mod chip?

Yes and No.

The swap trick won't hurt the laser anymore than the modchip approach as they both technically allow the same to happen.

Simple fact is that the PSTwo doesn't like dirty or low quality media. Using a modchip or swap trick allows you to use said media in your PSTwo.

Only method I've seen so far to protect your laser is by fitting the NeoFixII PCB into your PSTwo.
