Hey yall,
Ok I got this 25 pin "male" socket on my xbox (for external flashing) which would connect to the 25 pin "female" lpt port on my pc, but i need a cable to connect it- and obviously the standard 25 pin "male"-"male" connector is not gonna work- what i need is a "female"-"male" cable which seems to be a little hard to find (i've found one (http://www.cableuniverse.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=69) on the net).
However we're moving offices at the end of the week and in all the junk i found this laplink cable which is a 25 pin "female"-"female" with additional 7 pin (i think) "female" connectors at each end too.
What I would like to know is whether i can connect a standard printer cable to the laplink cable (thus giving me a "female" socket at one end and a "male" socket at the other end- albeit with two annoying 7pin sockets hanging out). Would that work?
thanks in advance! :)
