i have downloaded music mp3s from sites and ended up with spyware/adware not as bad as yours.somebody may give better advice then me but i will try to help what i know. you sound like you have downloaded adware/spyware.try spybot suppose to be good at getting rid of this type of thing.try www.download.com (http://www.download.com) for downloading spybot.also if you have xp not sure your system let us know. you could try system restore with going back to a good restore point.another good site which has dealt with these spyware problems and you should find some help is www.the-scream.co.uk (http://www.the-scream.co.uk). they have dealt extensively on this subject in the pc security section.hope you get it solved.as i have had spyware viruses trogens and found a solution.colin

My problem is kinda the same mate? I am getting gambling ads and my search engine has changed to 123search and it changes back to that even tho i have made google my default. But as you can see my main concern was the random dialing of this xxx server

Your browser has been hijacked. See Hijacked (http://www.spywareinfo.com/articles/hijacked/) for more information.
It is possible that you were infected with the CWS Trojan. The CWShredder (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip) utility has been very effective in its removal in some cases. I've used this tool effectively on friends computers for hijack removal on many occasions.
In addition, you need to download Ad-aware (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) spyware remover along with Spybot Search & Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/).
Make sure that you download the latest updates for each of these programs before you run the scans.
It is recommended that you clear your IE cache and Temporary Internet Files before you scan.
Internet Explorer is very vulnerable to these exploits and is often targeted. You might want to consider a safer browser to use from now on. Try Opera (http://www.opera.com/) or .Mozilla (http://www.mozilla.org/)

Spybot Search & Destroy will detect and remove most Dialers and Keyloggers from your system.
