i have loads of films i wana let my friends borrow but i dont kno how to mak it films VCD as my friends only have a VCD player.
what programs do i need?
advice?

TMPGEnc. Accepts (with the right filters) AVI's and MPEG2 as input. Simply select VCD in the wizard, follow the steps and you should have yourself a nice VCD complaint MPG which you can then author/burn with say Nero or VCD Easy.
Should point out though that TMPGEnc will load AVI's using VBR mp3 audio as an audio source and then not convert the audio.

InterVideo DVD Copy will also do this.
Give the trial version a shot.

Well in terms of converting it is slow, inflexible and the quality ain't that special.
