I am currently using Outlook 2003 and I have 2 email address at Optonline.net (1 is mine, the other is my girlfriend's). I set up my email first via Outlook. So, when my girlfriend goes to check her mail folder and then if she creates a new email to send - it is sent from MY account instead of hers (unless she manually changes it everytime she sends an email). Is there anyway for Outlook to automatically list the FROM email by whoever is sending the email when we are in our email folders???
thanks

You don't want to use separate XP accounts?

try setting up different users when logging on to XP

is that the only way? that seems a little ridiculous.
you would think Outlook would have some option to do so. How inconvenient is it for any sub account to have to make sure that they MANUALLY uncheck the master account and check their sub account name for EACH email
Or you could try having your girlfriend use Outlook Express while you use outlook. It doesn't seem ridiculous to me as it is designed for a single user who has multiple email accounts eg a work email and a home email.

Set your email up to use 2 different profiles instead of using 1 which is what you are currently doing. With 2 profiles all your details are seperate from each other and no confusion.

Control Panel, Mail, Show Profiles, then set up another.
It is in the Help for Outlook btw (not trying to belittle but just amazed that M$ have something useful in there)

Sorry should have told you the above.
Once the profile is created delete your girlfriends from your profile, your profile should be called outlook as this is the default.
