digital camera HELP please

Hi , i have a digital camera and for some reason rather than formatting the memory card via the camera ( not connected to PC ) which i have done many times i decided to connect the camera to the PC and use the right click option on the removable drive ( camera) and select format ... nightmare i cant get the card to do anything now when i put it in the camera ?? and ideas would be a great help .

Use the camera to format the card this time. Hopefully it will work on the PC then.

If the card has a protection tab, make sure you switch it off.

If you can't format it on your camera as Van Nugent suggested, then try again on your computer and make sure to set the File system type as FAT16.

If you did this from an XP machine, your out of luck as XP will only let you format as NTFS or FAT32. You will need to find a Win98/ME or Win2000 machine to format it on.
