hi guys, i have a silver ps2 and i think its got a dms 3 mod chip in it, the problem is the sound , it crashes quiet a lot and comes back after a while but then sometimes it crashes and just squeels a really high piched noise , bad if im using it on the surround sound amp it nearly blows my speakers. do you think its a problem with the mod chip or with the ps2 ?

Could be to do with the Clock wire used with the modchip. Used to happen a lot on Messiah2 mods so an alternate Clock solder point was given.

You can either use the new solder point OR double twist the clock wire with a Ground wire. Basically the Clock wire is picking up interference from the components its traveling over from solder point to chip, twisting it with a ground wire eliminates this problem.
