PC Problems - Help Needed

Ok I have some PC problems that are really bugging me.

Firstly when on the internet svchost.exe crashes at random times and it means that the internet doesnt work and I have to restart the computer to put it back on.

Secondly, I cant save anything. When I click File or press CTRL+S to save the program crashes. This happened in Notepad, Paint and MS Word.

Help me guys. PLEASE! :bawling:

Have you ran a virus checker recently ? as this sounds to me like the classic signs of the Blaster Worm.
The symptoms you describe are what happens when Blaster only half succeeds in infecting your system.

Yeah mate thats another thing. Norton does bring up that I have that virus, but I have updated it and run multiple scans and it never finds it! It only does at random stages when it is doing the usual scans when on. Then I downloaded the FixBlast file from symantec but it never finds anything either.

You probably did not find anything in the scans because it has already been quarantined. But the damage is already done.
