gmail login problem

Just recently got a new pc and cant login to gmail from it,ive logged in from other pc's so i definatley know its some setting on this one.when i try to login it doesnt say theres been a problem it just refreshes to the same page again,ive tried lowering the security level through internet options/privacy but still cant login.anyone have any ideas as i know its probaly a box that just needs ticking/unticking

Do u have a firewall?

Try disabiling windows firewall and any others u may have (zonealarm, norton, etc)

Once u figure out what one it is look around for like a 'trusted zone' setting and add gmail.

You might also want to try logging on to https://gmail.google.com/gmail.

Which browser you are using? If it's an IE then I have heard that gmail needs min. IE 6. Never tried it myself.

That "s" mentioned in E's post is also important. https! Secured mailing!

im using mcafee firewall that came installed with the computer,ive just disabled the firewall and still the same,im using IE 6,just gonna check if theres a newer version available and see if that changes anything

just done all critical updates from the microsoft site,doesnt seem to be any other non critical updates that seem relevent,just media player and outlook.

Any one have any other ideas i could try.im not having problems logging in to anything else.
Is gmail different to all other ways off logging in as when im on another computer i get a white screen with loading in the top left corner??
