or Projection TV, i dunno. My uncle came to me with this...

He just bought this TV... and it says in the manual, the TV can't be used with games systems cuzz it causes some sort of "burnout"... not sure exactly, but ppl here may know what I'm talking about.. Anyway to get around this... cuzz he used it once, and it was awesome with his 6.1 Surround Sound... but then he read not too..

I have had my 65" mitsubishi for over a year now. I have no burn in. Just make sure to turn the brightness down and don't leave images on the screen for hours at a time. By images I mean if you are playing a game and it has a map in the corner, you don't want it to stay in the same spot for an extended period of time. The image might "burn-in" the screen. If it does the only way to get rid of it is to buy a new screen.

Also stay off of channels like CNN and any channels with a ticker on the bottom of the screen. For that matter over time any channel that has any picture on the screen that doesn't change.
Just something to think about. http://66.197.142.137/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif

I have had mine for over a year, and no problems. I have heard of people getting the green tint from the xbox, but a magnet can cure that most of the time. But need to be careful when trying th magnet trick.

I read that if you want to let your tv cool down you need to trun it off for half the time it was on. So if you were playing a game for 3 hours, you should turn the tv off and let it sit for 1 1/2 hours.

Not sure how true this is.

Theres nothing like playing 2 players on shooter games like 007 and such. you can actually see the guys running around. I use to play with my son on a 27". the split screen totally sucked. Now we each have a screen bigger than the 27".

" do all newer tvs like plasma and lcd do this?"

Plasmas, yes, lcds no.

better yet get a projection tv, these are boxes you attach to your celiing & project on a screen. those are safe. Always call the manf if you have questions.

I read the bulbs for the projector are expensive when you have to replace them. I'm not sure how hours you get out of them. It would be bad *** to have a 100" screen or bigger.

"I read the bulbs for the projector are expensive when you have to replace them. "

Couple hundred dollars now. 5-10,000 hours. At work we have a hdtv lecture room projector & a bulb is $10,000
