The famous Red screen of swap magic

hello,
I have a copy of swap magic EUR 2, my ps2 is a ver 5 PAL.
I'm trying to make work a backup of GTA san andreas, using it but I get that red screen after the insert disk screen.
So I did try burning a dvd loader and it doesn't start as GTA (same red screen)
I made a screen of the files in the gta and dvd loader CD

It think it's a media issue. How did you burn the disc? What brand of disc are you using?

gta is a TDK, the other is an Imation and I've used the last version of nero to burn them

Try out some fuji, apple, pioneer discs. I don't like TDK or Imation for dvd media, they are ok for cd media. The game doesn't need any special booting disics like cdloader or dvdloader, you just have to make a disc that your laser will read.

thanks, I'll try look around for them even if they're really rare here, and order them online would cost more to send than else =/

I just made an other TDK copy, and this one made my screen blue and started the game, but at half intro it stopped, I'm happy already, guess it's just cd quality

Write at 2x for dvd, 4x for cd & try that.
