Is this problem with me or my isp.........?

Recently upgraded to 2mbit.
Was getting speeds of 230+ which is good.

Now over the last few days I been gettin 100 to 230 up and down like a yoyo. I mean every second the speed is droppin or rising.

Will not stay on a stable speed or stay anywhere near max.

Phoned pipex (My isp) last week and they said line is ok and no work being done on it.
They advised me to get a new micro-filter. Is this a good idea? As I know it must be working ok as it can reach full speed.
I tried it without the phone connected too as they also suggested that. Same problem.

Anything else I can try?
I am using belkin wireless router with built in modem.

Another point I must mention is that my sister in law is also on same connection as me and is having similar problems. Dont seem as bad as mine tho :S

Any ideas at all?

I would try a different microfilter to test if nothing else. If it doesn't work, you can at least tell Pipex you tried their suggestions but to no avail.

What are you basing your speeds on?

Try doing a speed test, becasue it could just be related to the servers your are downloading from.

Done all the speed tests m8.
Definitily the line as I have now used a new filter and even used a wired connection to rule out a faulty wireless card.
