We have a server at work that we can access via a vpn client & remote desktop over the internet. The server is running Win2000server with terminal services enabled.
I used to be able to connect from my desktop at home to the server. I can still ping it. When I try & connect with remote desktop it starts to connect but never draws the screen & then after about a minute I get a message saying that connection has failed.
This did work at one time but it stopped around the time I installed XP-SP2.
I know the server is OK because I can connect fine with my laptop. This is also running XP-SP2.
I have tried disabling my firewall but with no effect.
Internet connection is via a router / DSL modem. The laptop is on wireless & the desktop is wired.
Ideas anyone?
