Formatted and install fine when windows trys to start up the bar at the bottom freezes. Once, windows loaded but after i reset the problem came back. So I re formatted it and same thing. I formatted because of a virus so maybe its still there is there a way to check?or maybe its the copy of windows (its a copy i downloaded with sp2 installed)
what do you think?

Possible hardware problem. Did you add anything recently? Reseat the ram, or try a different stick, if you 2 of them in there try each one seperately. Remove any cards in the pci slots, and try s different slot. Hard drive may also be on its way out. There could be bad sectors. Enable SMART in bios.

I used this when diagnosing blue screens and physical memory dumps on my brother-in-law's pc...

only about 4mb, but its an iso, so takes a cd up. Well worth it though, found the dodgy stick of ram and its been sound ever since *touchwood it stays that way* lol

even if you dont have a seagate drive, run the generic tests (which includes a system memory scan). Highly recommended :D
