External Pioneer 108 & Nero problem

I have recently switched to using a laptop with an external Pioneer 108 drive, when trying to burn cd's using Nero I cannot select the 108 as the recorder. It will let me select it as the source drive though.
Ihave had no problems with using the drive to do dvd's with recordnow max 4.5.
Anybody got any ideas.

was nero bundled with a previous drive?

No it was downloaded version but i do own a cd copy that came bundled with a drive i bought some time ago, I went into extras at top of screen & asked nero to autodetect cd-rom it then sked me to insert nero cd so i used the bundled copy which seemed to work. But ot only sees the 108 as a cd-rom & thus wont let me choose it as the recorder.

try completely removing nero, and installing again, try not to use the bundled one though

Sorted now upgraded to Nero 6603
