Thats the first thing they check, if they repair it they seal the sticker with their own form of warranty sticker.

I don't know of any store that doesn't check for it.
Maybe you could print out a new one?

Just because you pay extra for the extended warranty doesn't mean they will overlook the seal being ripped. As far as printing your own seal and making it look official? Good luck, the equipment would probably cost you more than a new PS2. Also, if your warranty sticker is ripped then you probably have a chip in your PS2. You might just as well turn yourself over to Sony and tell them to put the handcuffs on you. While there are legit purposes for modding (ie backups), Sony and Best Buy certainly won't see it that way.

there was a post a few year ago by someone who sent his to sony for repair, they fixed his ps2 and just took the chip out and stuck it to the case.
but then again he probley had to pay for the repair
but doin the swap trick at asda or somewhere is your best bet :D
but you better hurry up cause they supposed to have stopped makin the big ps2 now

There are a few things you can do. I have heard that if you slowly remove the sticker while waving a hair dryer over it you can maintain the validity of it. Also there have been times where people were selling replacement warranty stickers for ps2

"how can u print one ?"
Get an image of one, print it on clear label stock & put it on the ps2.

that wont work, the sticker they use has a special surface so that it reveals the word "void" if removed. You have to buy it from someone that has official stickers or remove it carefully with a hair dryer

just go over the back with a black marker and glue it on

i removed mine with a hairdryer with everything in tact. If you are careful and you do it slowly it works.
