I have downloaded an AVI file which is only 430 mb in size i am now trying to convert this using Nero which it is currently encoding, but i have noticed that the size nero is telling me it will be when finished will be 835 mb.
Does this mean i will not be able to burn it onto one disk, if so how do i burn it on to two disks as it will be one file when nero is finished.
Also if i had choosen dvd video would nero converted from Avi to that dvd format.
not too sure with nero, but i use tmpgenc to convert to dvd or (S)Vcd.
(S)Vcd will normally take up to normal cdr's where as dvd would be 1 dvd. when using tmpgenc use the 'source range' feature to cut the film in half for your two required output mpgs.

The size of the input file is irellivant. The new filesize is determined by the input files length time wise and the new files bitrate, whether the input file be 2MB's, 2GB's or whatever.
835MB's, you may be able to overburn.

No, TMPGEnc only outputs system or elementary streams. So mpg or m2v/mpa. You can use VCDEasy to create a BIN/CUE, also I think VCDGear.

Celtic thanks for above but i have downloaded VCDEASY and tried to drag files but it does not support avi files which is what i want to convert to an iso image so i can then burn using dvd decrypter to burn to dvd and watch on stand alone player.
Have you any other suggestions.

I didn't mean it could convert, I mean that it could author TMPGEnc's mpg output.
Perhaps try DVD2SVCD, it can convert an avi directly to bin/cue, with TMPGEnc, CCE or QuEnc as the encoder.
