ps2 laser query

hi my little brothers ps2 has got a fault the little plastic runner the dvd drive moves on (white one) has lost teeth dont know how but its knackered can you buy them or do they come with replacement dvds any help would be appreicated

the white cog is what your looking for, I've been searching for you but can't seem to find anyone that sells the cog by itself, found a site that sells the dvd drive by itself but they only stock drives for v1-4. if it helps here's the link http://www.richspsxparts.com/psx2.html they ship internationaly.

Actually is sounds mode like you're after the little plastic leg that you have to swap over when you change your laser. It sits in the worm drive so the laser can move up and down the disc. These do actually wear out and the worm drive just spins without the laser moving. Will look for you mate as I may actually have one spare out of a knacked PS2..
