i have just downloaded a load of music videos which are all mpeg, can i just add em to a cd & then burn it & it will play on my dvd player as a vcd, or do i have to convert them to something else?
many thanks for any help :)
well that depends on a few factors:
does your dvd player play raw mpegs?
when you say "add them to a cd" what type of cd? (S)vcd/iso etc....
in short, unless your dvd player plays raw mpgs, or your mpegs are (s)vcd compliant you will need to do converting.
what are you using or hopingto use to burn these discs? if its say nero, you will need to convert to compliant mpg before adding to it under the (s)vcd tab in the wizard.
nero itself may actually convert it for you though its not the best for it.
note: there is still no guarantee it will work on your standalone dvd player as it might not be able to play (s)vcd

its actually a car dvd player i wanna play em in my car, in the manual it says it is vcd compatible. So i am wondering if i can just add the video files to a data disc project & then they will play one after each other like a music cd would? i am using primo dvd software
i doubt it then.
try getting a trial of nero, addding mpg to a 'vcd compilation' and give it a shot. like i said before, i dont know if nero converts to compliant mpg but its worth a shot
